Protest for Justice – The Story of Rizpah
In the book of 2 Samuel, there lies a little-known account of a woman named Rizpah. Though her presence in Scripture is quiet and often overlooked, what meaning might her story hold for the current Palestinian-Israeli context? Amid today’s humanitarian crisis, what insight might her unwavering devotion offer to Christ’s disciples—and to the world at large?
This gathering features Lamma, a native of Nazareth whose research centers on the youth communities within the Israeli and Palestinian society. Holding a doctorate in Social Policy and Intervention from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Haifa, Lamma has written in both local and international outlets on the intersection of faith and social issues. She will share how Rizpah’s actions have resonated with local Christians, illuminating profound truths in the face of suffering.
